The UK’s Department for International Trade (DIT) is excited to announce its first fintech mission to Australia taking place in Sydney and Melbourne from 20-23 March 2017.
DIT will select 8-12 UK fintech companies to participate in the mission to Australia where they will participate in a tailored programme of events and activities. Delegates will spend two days in Sydney, two days in Melbourne and an optional fifth day in Australia or New Zealand. The delegates will have the opportunity to meet with and pitch to Australian financial institutions and Venture Capital firms, visit fintech hubs, meet the regulator and government ministers, network with the Australian fintech community, hear from UK fintech companies that have found success in Australia, receive advice from specialist lawyers and schedule meetings with potential customers and partners.
The final programme will be released closer to the date and we will continue to announce events and sponsors as they are confirmed, so keep checking this website.
Applications close 11:59pm Sunday 11 December 2016.
On Wednesday 30 November we will be holding a reception at Pinsent Masons, London to highlight the opportunities in Australia for UK fintech companies. Hear Peter Behrens, CCO of RateSetter discuss their success in Australia and learn more about the trade mission.
