Welcome to British Airways

British Airways is one of the world’s largest international airlines. It flies approximately 40 million passengers to 179 destinations each year; 9 in the UK, 89 in Europe and 86 throughout the rest of the world. There are 14 weekly flights from Hong Kong to the UK and a further 19 weekly flights from mainland China to the UK.

As part of its ongoing endeavour to improve the customer experience, British Airways is half way through a £5bn investment in new aircraft, smarter cabins, elegant lounges, new technologies and new destinations.

Its latest aircraft - the Airbus A380 and the Boeing 787 Dreamliner - are quieter, more spacious and more environmentally friendly than ever and offer customers an exclusive experience based on timeless design and luxury. Thanks to state-of-the-art features, customers flying on the latest aircraft will arrive at their destination feeling more refreshed and alert. The A380 carries customers on the Hong Kong route, with the Boeing 787 flying to Chengdu.

British Airways prides itself on offering a choice of four smart cabins on the majority of its long-haul services, on which customers can enjoy world-renowned service and smart interiors, all finished with a dash of British style.

World Traveller, the economy class cabin, offers comfortable leather seating and complimentary refreshments, as well as special touches for children. Club World, the business class cabin, offers access to exclusive lounges, as well as seats that convert to fully flat beds on board. British Airways’ First cabin offers an exceptional experience that includes priority boarding, exclusive lounge access and a private onboard suite.

British Airways is proud to call London Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 5 its home, with the majority of the airline’s flights arriving and departing from this contemporary hub. With its spectacular setting and impressive choice of facilities including designer shopping, numerous dining options and easy connections to onward flights, Terminal 5 has been recognised as the world’s best terminal by Skytrax for three consecutive years.

Those who fly British Airways can become members, of the airline’s Executive Club, a loyalty programme designed to reward and recognise all customers, whether they travel every week or just once a year. They can collect Avios, the Club currency, every time they fly, which can be spent on rewards such as free flights, upgrades, car hire and more.

British Airways has partnerships with other airlines, giving customers access to a greater choice of flights and itineraries across an extended flight network. As a one world member, the airline offers its customers a global network of hundreds of destinations, seamless customer service and shared benefits for frequent flyers, including access to comfortable lounges across all the partner airlines.
