Aidan Courtney is Chief Executive Officer of Roslin Cells, one of Europe's leading companies for production of stem cells and development of new cell therapies. He has extensive experience across numerous industries working with leading scientific and technical specialists and leading multi-discipline teams to develop commercially focused businesses based on new technologies.

Aidan holds a Master's degree in law and is Associate Member of the J Kenyon Mason Institute for Medicine, Life Sciences and Law at the University of Edinburgh.

He was one of the founders of Roslin Cells and has been responsible for all aspects of its development as a company. It has now established itself as a leader in the manufacture of cell therapy products for early stage clinical trials of new regenerative medicines.

In 2013, Aidan led the creation of the EBiSC consortium which is establishing a European bank for induced pluripotent stem cells to meet the rapidly growing needs of the research community.
